Unlock Airtel 3G USB Modem E173Bu-1 for all SIM
Friend, now i am publishing a trick to unlock airtel 3G USB modem E173Bu-1. Then you can use any SIM card in your airtel 3G USB modem and can use any plans 2G or 3G.
We had to follow few steps before inserting other SIMs in to airtel 3G USB modem.First you had to download to files, One is for generating the unlock code and flash code. other file is for downdating the firmware of your airtel 3G modem. The need for this is our main enemy in this matter is the new firmware version in the modem.
So let’s start Unlocking Airtel 3G USB Modem….
1. Download Unlock code Generator and Firmware downdater.
2.Open unlock code generator and give the IMEI code of your modem, and click ‘Generate’.Note down the UNLOCK CODE and FLASH CODE (code asked at the time of firmware downdating).
3. Close all other programes opened(important).close even the Airtel connection manager.
4. Run Firmware down-dater.
Please be sure that your computer doesnot fall in a power failure.
After successful Unlocking you can use any SIM Cards and any network 2G or 3G.
MODELS Compactible with the above method are HUAWEI modem which are saying “Invalid SIM .Please contact your customer care.” on inserting another SIM.

isn’t compatible for target version ” and failed updating…

I have a problem unlocking my E173Bu-1 model airtel 3g dongle which was bought 20 days before.
imei series starts in 35**********.
the firmware update shows “update failure”. i have closed all the apps using internet and all background apps too. i have Windows 8.

Sir, I have tried downgrading the firmware for this E173Bu-1, But it fails. May be bacause Airtel has already got this modems with all the 10 unlock attempts consumed. So this method is not working.
Requesting you to please send/ publish strong working method for this unlocking.
